I have been practising and teaching Yoga for thirty years and it has been fundamental in helping me overcome many challenges in my life. I teach Yoga as I wish to share the wonderful benefits with my students; so they too can enjoy the improved physical, mental and spiritual well-being. My teaching style offers gentle encouragement and guidance, allowing students to challenge themselves, whilst practicing with compassion and listening to their bodies. The yoga classes in Bideford are fun, relaxing and non-competitive, allowing everyone to practice safely and with confidence. Yoga offers so many wonderful benefits and my classes focus on relaxing the mind and body, releasing muscle tension, increasing muscle tone, flexibility and strength, raising energy levels and improving overall health and well-being. The gentle Hatha yoga classes are small which allows me to give the required attention to each student and ensure the lessons are fully inclusive for everyone. The lessons are for all ages (ranging from teenagers to over 70s) and all abilities ~ students who are new to Yoga, returning to Yoga and practising Yogins and Yoginis, all are very welcome. Each class consists of a gentle warm up to prepare the mind and body, Sun Salutations, a series of postures relating to the particular theme for the lesson, Pranayama (breathing exercises) and Yoga Nidra (Relaxation).
